    Mr. Downey serves in the Division of Applied Theology & Church Ministries at Moody, teaching in the disciplines of youth and pastoral ministries, spiritual formation, leadership, and strategic planning at MBI. He is also the Program Head for First Year Experience at MBI, in which he mentors over 30 upperclassmen each year to care for and equip all incoming freshmen to transition well into collegiate life. He serves his local church as an elder and team leader, along with his wife, for a partnership in missions with the Czech Republic. Tim has served as an associate pastor, church planter, missionary, and international speaker. Tim has spoken in numerous seminars and keynote addresses in national and international venues concerning the gospel, leadership, youth ministry, and worldview.

    Mr. Downey has had extensive experience in youth ministry in both the U.S. and Europe. He is involved in coaching youth pastors in the Chicagoland area and beyond. In addition, Tim travels both nationally and internationally to speak to youth and youth leaders. On a personal level, Tim loves spending time with his beautiful wife and three girls. They enjoy being in the great outdoors together. When that is not an option, a classic movie with a community bowl of popcorn is a creative alternative.
