    Christian ministry experiences include Youth Sunday School teacher, VBS co-leader and teacher, youth ministry, youth choir director, church pianist, evangelism team member, choir member, small group leader, and Bible study participation.  Her professional ministry is in Elementary Education which began in 1995 where she taught for many years in her childhood traditional elementary school.  She later became a founding lead teacher and International Baccalaureate Curriculum Coordinator for a charter school. Her last service to the IB charter school was as founding high school director.

    Dr. Smith comes from a line of Baptist, Methodist, and Quaker preachers and school teachers on both sides of her family.  Hence, she enjoys Christian fellowship, studying God's Word for direction in her life, family and friends, teaching and discipling young people, writing, singing, music, drawing, and laughter.
