Visitor Parking Lot B (subject to change during construction season)

  • The visitor parking lot is located on the corner of Wells St. and Locust St., which is three blocks north of Chicago Ave.
  • Free parking is available from 6 a.m. to midnight, with a guest parking permit, when visiting the campus.
  • Please stop by the Alumni Student Center, 821 N Wells St., to receive a parking permit for your car window.

 

Alumni Student Center Circle Drive Lot

A limited number of 15-minute parking spots for drop off and pick up are available in the circle driveway of the Alumni Student Center, located at 821 Wells Street.

 

Parking Garage

During special events, Moody's parking garage located on the corner of Wells Street and Institute Place, is made available to guests. Please note that during non-event times this parking is by permit only.

 

Street Parking

  • Metered parking
    There are many parking pay boxes with corresponding spaces on the city streets surrounding the Moody campus.
  • Free parking
    There is limited free street parking available around the Moody campus. When parking in these spaces, be sure to carefully read the signs to confirm the hours when parking is allowed.

Directions to Moody Bible Institute

Moody Bible Institute is located at 820 North LaSalle Boulevard (at Chicago Avenue) one mile north of Chicago's business district, the 'loop'.

 

BY CAR

If you are approaching Chicago...

From the North: I-94 East (Eden's Expressway) to 1-90/94 East (Kennedy Expressway) to Ohio Street. (Exit 50B)

From the Northwest: 1-90 East (Northwest Tollway) to 1-90/94 East (Kennedy Expressway) to Ohio Street. (Exit 50B)

From the West: I-88 East (East-West Tollway) to I-920 East (Eisenhower Expressway) to I-90/94 north to Ohio Street. (Exit 50B)

From the Southwest: I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway) to I-90/94 (Kennedy Expressway) north to Ohio Street. (Exit 50B)

From the South: I-57 to I-94 (Calumet Expressway) to I-90 (Dan Ryan Expressway) north to Ohio Street. (Exit 50B)

From the East: I-80/90 (Indiana Tollway) to I-90 (Chicago Skyway) to I-90/94 (Dan Ryan Expressway) North to Ohio Street (Exit 50B) OR I-94 North to Ohio Street. (Exit 50B)

 

BY BUS

Take a taxi north to Chicago Avenue and Wells Street. The Greyhound Trailways Terminal is located at 630 W. Harrison Street, which is approximately 20 blocks south of MBI. A taxicab ride should cost less than $10.00.

 

BY TRAIN

Take a taxi north to Chicago Avenue and Wells Street (16 blocks) from Union Station at Adams and Canal Streets

 

BY PLANE

From O'Hare International Airport

Your luggage can be picked up on the lower level (Arrivals) of O'Hare Airport terminal. Once you have your baggage, there are three different ways to get to MBI

  1. Take a taxicab (cost is approximately $30)
  2. Take a "Airport Express" van. Cost is $20 and vans run every 10 minutes. They will make stops for other passengers at downtown hotels as well, so this option may take a little bit longer than an individual cab ride. Depending on the traffic, travel time could range from 25 to 60+ minutes. For more information, call (800) 284-3826 or view their web site at www.airportexpress.com
  3. Take the Blue line to Clark + Lake. Transfer to the Brown line. Go to Chicago Stop.

 

From Midway Regional Airport

There are three different ways to get to MBI:

  1. Take a taxicab (cost is approximately $25)
  2. Take an "Airport Express" van. Cost is $15 and vans run every 10 minutes. They will make stops for other passengers at downtown hotels as well, so this option may take a little bit longer than an individual cab ride.   3. Take the elevated train. Take the Blue Line CTA train to downtown Chicago. Exit the train at the Library/State/Vanburen stop and transfer to the Brown Line train. Exit at the Chicago Avenue stop. Walk one block East to Chicago and Wells; MBI is on the corner of Chicago and Wells. Your travel time is about an hour. Cost is $1.75.
