Unwrapped: The Gifts of Christmas

The 2021 theme for Candlelight Carols is “Unwrapped: The Gifts of Christmas.” This year’s production is a joyous and worshipful celebration of God’s most extraordinary gifts to us.

This year’s production is a joyous and worshipful celebration of God’s most extraordinary gifts to us:

      • The gift of the promise God kept when He sent His Son to earth
      • The gift of His love in action through Jesus’ atoning death and resurrection
      • The gift of our restored relationship with our Heavenly Father
      • The gift of purpose for our lives that comes only through placing our hope and trust in Christ

This year’s theme corresponds with our Today in the Word devotional series for the month of December. Our free daily Bible study resource is available to you online, by email, in print, and on the Today in the Word app. Visit the Today in the Word website for more details and to begin receiving this free devotional written by Moody’s esteemed professors.

The Music of Candlelight Carols

Our faculty and students have been hard at work and have poured their hearts into creating this year’s Candlelight Carols program. This special Christmas program is our gift to you. We pray that it is a rich blessing to you and yours as you celebrate the arrival of the newborn King who gave His life for us.

It is our distinct honor to introduce the musical teams that will perform in Candlelight Carols 2021:

The Moody Chorale

The Moody Chorale

The Moody Chorale, conducted by Dr. Yongmin Kim, was founded in 1946 and has long been recognized as one of the leading collegiate choral organizations specializing in sacred music. The chorale exists to lead men and women in worship of the Creator by ministering biblical and theological truths through music and personal testimony. Their repertoire includes a broad range of music from all periods of music history.

The Moody Campus Orchestra
