New Student Orientation

Orientation begins with move-in day on the Wednesday prior to the beginning of the semester. It is a very busy day on campus as students and parents arrive with all the students' belongings. New students participate in an orientation program prior to their first day of class at Moody. The program is designed to help students begin to feel comfortable in the community and prepare them for life on campus.

Students participate in small group sessions led by faculty and student facilitator. These sessions provide useful information regarding Moody classes, college life and personal skills. Orientation sessions also include safety training, learning to navigate the computer network, and many fun activities designed to develop community.

Parents' Orientation

In conjunction with the new student orientation, a parents' orientation is held the same day students move into residence halls. During this orientation, parents are given additional information about Moody as well as specific information from pertinent departments such as Health Services, Residence Life, Academic Records, Practical Christian Ministries and Campus Safety. This orientation equips parents of new students with the tools to provide support to students.
